OpenCase

Open source ESDH for Danish municipalities, built on Nextcloud

OpenCase is a native Nextcloud app that provides case and document management (ESDH) for Danish municipalities. It enables secure case handling, document journalization, and KLE-based classification within the Nextcloud platform.

The app enforces fine-grained access control through the Danish Joint Municipal Access Management infrastructure and integrates with key national services, including Organisation, Classification, Distribution, Digital Post, and CPR/CVR lookups via Datafordeleren.

OpenCase also includes workflow automation and a built-in AI assistant to streamline administrative processes, automate repetitive tasks, and improve productivity.
